This is what is is all about. A good pub, great ale, a cosy night out and a bit of fell running thrown in. Well, that’s exactly what a hardy 51 runners got this week when they turned up at the White Lion pub for the CVFR Heptonstall Night Score Event...

Calder Valley’s Stephen Grimley reports:

51 attended the CVFR Night Score event from the White Lion in Heptonstall last night – runners from Trawden, CLEM, Tod, and CVFR braved a foul night to leg it round the Heptonstall moors clutching maps and compasses. The torchlight fun ended with beer and folk music back at the pub – Ben Crowther of Tod Harriers won 1st prize.
