A little bit of history...
On a wintery day in February, this film on Channel Run – posted on the FRA fbook page by Andy Holden – gives us all a glimer of warm summer days and a traditional Lakeland show race from 2002.
Of course the Kilnsey Crag race is one of the best and the oldest, and part of that ‘treble’ in close proximity on the calendar which are Grasmere, Burnsall and Kilnsey. Though over 10 years old now it typifies the atmosphere and friendly nature of the race perfectly, with the likes of Ted Mason blasting up the hill and youngsters flying off the Crag towards the finish.
As the filmer says, “It’s bin a good day!”
