Andy Symonds at the 2011 Course des Templiers

2011 Course des Templiers winner Andy Symonds heads back to Millau this weekend for a tilt at retaining the title on this classic 73km ultra-trail race which also features as the final event in the 2012 Ultra SkyMarathon® Series

His victory last year was the start of a great 12 months in France for Andy, and after a recent injury he’ll hope that the long 2012 season has left enough in the tank to take on Templiers.

Looking to come between Symonds and the win will be buddy Tom Owens, Spain’s Miguel Heras, UK’s Terry Conway, Salomon Sports Mkg boss Greg Vollet and UTMB winner Francois d’Haene, amongst others.

On the women’s side the field looks stacked! Frost, Picas, Forsberg, Gobert, Serafini and non-other than 5-time UTMB winner Lizzy Hawker, are all down on the start list, and if they all arrive on the start line in Millau then we could see fireworks!
