Rob Hope leads early on at Coniston

3-time British champ and reigning English champ Rob Hope won the Coniston Fell race on a very warm day in Cumbria yesterday. Hope has struggled a little lately with a knee injury, but was too strong for quality field on this classic route…

The Pudsey and Bramley man was chased home by 2010 winner Ian Holmes, but was good enough to reverse the result of the 2009 event. No results as yet, but a great video is already online courtesy of my little walshes, and some smashing photos on Flickr by TommoPix / Pete
