It's time to Hit the Trail

Never ones to shirk our responsibility to the grass roots here at MST, we’d like to big-up a very nice urban trail race up in the Manchester area – taking place this Sunday the 11th of Jan, 2009. For all you ‘urban trailsters’ who are fed up with the icy pavements and traffic – Hit the Trail!
Main man from organsing club Belle Vue Racers, Steve Webb, states:
Last years winners were Damien Nichols of Wilmslow Harriers (26.02, Men) & Joanna Seymoure of Hallamshire Harriers (32.21, Women) out of 120 runners. 2008 Results here. The race is also a favourite among less competitive runners who seem to enjoy the atmosphere. The low key race takes place at Reddish Vale in Stockport right near the Manchester border. Despite its urban location it is a beautiful place with some great views. It even has an ‘urban farm’ – whatever that is! Anyway – it’s entry on the day (11/1/9) until 10.30 if any of your readers are interested.
