Tadese and Co. head for bonny Scotland
With the great man absent the racing should be close
In what should be one of the best XC meets of the year in the UK, the Bupa Great Edinburgh International happens this Saturday. With Kenenisa Bekele still out the door should be wide open for 2007 World champ Zersenay Tadese to romp home…
Tadese leads stellar line-up for Edinburgh
Edinburgh, UK – Ethiopian legend Kenenisa Bekele may be absent but organisers have once again ensured a stellar line-up for both the men’s and women’s races at the Bupa Great Edinburgh International held at the historic Holyrood Park on Saturday (10). The venue played host to the World Cross Country Championships in 2008. The Edinburgh meeting is the fourth of ten IAAF Cross Country permit meetings being staged in the 2008/2009 season.
Tadese in the early years..
Support races also include the men’s and women’s 4k races. The UK’s Andy Baddeley lines up in his first race of the winter and if he can show anything near his mile pace from last summer he should be the man to watch. With live coverage on the BBC it should be a great afternoon’s viewing.
