Who needs drugs when you can have Kit-Kat and Guinness?
What a combo!
This isn’t your average running news story, but former cancer sufferer William Sichel isn’t your average runner – He admits to three Kit-Kats a week and a pint of Guinness after a race – legend…
Kit-Kats and Guinness – the way to prepare for 21 marathons
A Scottish athlete has won one of the hardest races on earth, running for three days in the Arizona desert, as part of his pursuit of Scottish athletics’ oldest record. William Sichel combated freezing temperatures at night and more than 100F during the day during the Across the Years 72-hour event in Phoenix. The former cancer sufferer from Orkney clocked up 269.36 miles in three days – some 34 miles more than his nearest rival – after running virtually non-stop into the New Year.
Sichel - You have to bow to his story
No time for the Black Stuff here though...
