Weekend round-up...
Tim Davies leads at the 2013 Corndon Classic
The Rab Dark and White mini-MM, the Corndon 3 Peaks Classic and the Slieu Whallian Hill race took place this weekend, with clement weather, considering what had come in the days before…
Some nice images from the Dark and White event here with results on the SportIdent site soon via this link.
On the Isle of Man Simon Skillicorn and Rosie Craine were winners at the Slieu Whallion race, though the date on the Manx page says 9th December with the FRA saying it was on Saturday (Dec 15th)? Anyway, report here.
Finally, the Corndon 3 Peaks race looked like it was run in very nice conditions, with Kent runner Russell Bentley inflicting a rare defeat to Tim Davies on home turf!
It couldn’t have been much closer with Bentley’s 43:52 vs Davies’ 44:00. Mynydd Du’s Martin Shaw continued his return to form with third (45:51).
Mercia’s Mel Price was a convincing women’s winner, chased home once again by Val Swingler, with Aberystwyth’s Lou Barker in third. Full results now online at the Mercia site and Al Tye managed to get some great shots of the 66 runners here.
