Can anyone beat Finlay Wild at Ben Nevis?

As a runner or a fan of worldwide trail, mountain and fell running the next 7-10 days are pretty special. Whether it’s the world’s biggest ultra trail race, the UTMB, the newly resurrected ‘ultra fell’ stage race the Dragon’s Back Race, or the fastest of the fast mountain racers at the World Mountain Running Championships in Italy…

Imagine also what it is like for the likes of MST (on our shoestring one staff, no cash budget) trying to keep up with it all, luckily for you all iRunFar and Talk Ultra exist too, so between us, and with Go Trail at the Transalpine Run, we’ll do out best to keep up!

Mud, Sweat and Tears was dreamt up some time ago. I had returned to the sport of running (competitively) after around a 15 year layoff due to injury.
