We aren’t a tri site, but we do recognise along with most UK sporting sites that the Talented Brownlee Boys are a real asset and inspiration to the sporting community in this country. Of course the real link for us is that they are fell runners at heart!

We’re sure that they will be ubiquitous in the media, along with many of the Team GB medal prospects, in the next few months. But thought that we would share this excellent piece on today’s Telegraph online which highlights that really they are just a couple of Yorkshire lads who love sport.

I mean how many prospective Olympic champions were down at their local race on New Year’s Eve getting muddy and drinking tea!?

It’s fantastic the way they’re so normal,, and I love watching interviews of them with their Yorkshire accents, but can youimagine if they did a 1-2 at the Olympics they could continue their present lifestyle? They’ve got a younger sibling. The next star?
