Putting rivals on the 'Slab'

Whilst on my little ‘press trip’ to the recent Annecime race, I was handed some new kicks by those lovely people at Salomon. The XT Slab 2 is a new shoe from the French innovators and we think it could be a 2010 product, as there is no sign of it on the Salomon site?

Jerome “Gino” Decisier tells me that it is an “ultimate competition product”, and having not run in them yet I will take his word for it. All I can tell you is that on from the XT Wings Slab the shoe has a new lighter weight upper, a new Quicklace system and they also seem to be narrower.

These things really are like slippers! They are extremely comfy and given Salomon’s history I do not expect any issues on the run. You won’t be missed via the colour scheme either – totally disco!
