Elite start from the back at Kilian's Classik!
Now here is an interesting way of doing things! Okay, so the spirit of trail running at Kilian’s Classik races are about participation – and that’s why the Salomon International runners started off 2 minutes after the whole field on Saturday…
But, how about this is for a format in a few of the UK’s trail races, would make for some interesting tactics for sure.
Jono Wyatt reports:
Races are on today but we take our numbers and laugh and smile because today is not about the performance but it’s about sharing the time together. 45km and 25km trail routes will give plenty of chance to enjoy what this place is fast becoming famous for, i.e Some of the best running you can find!
The international team runners come from many different countries and we take a 2 minute delay after the start so they can run past and say a ‘bonjour, hola, hello, ciao, konichiwa, Hallå, kalimera…’ to all of the runners.
Dimitris from Greece!
Stevie from the USA!
Sato from Japan!
Kilian from Catalunya!
