The season finale in San Fran is once again upon us, as a host of top ultra-trailers get ready for 50 miles of racing in the Marin Headlands on Saturday. MST was there two years ago and take it from us this one is big…

As ever Bryon Powell has it covered. iRunfar has some great pre-race interviews with those likely to figure, such as 2012 breakthrough starlet Emelie Forsberg who will take on Lizzy Hawker, and 2010 men’s winner Miguel Heras who returns to the race and faces 2011 winner Mike Wolfe.

Miguel Heras

The men’s field is stacked as you might expect for such an event which commands a $10,000 first prize! The women’s line-up is also very strong, though previous winner Anna Frost and one of the stars of 2012 Ellie Greenwood, are non-runners. (Although Frosty will be out on course pacing Forsberg).

Keep in touch with all of the race news and developments from 5am Cali time on Saturday via the iRunFar livecast.
