Tom Addison at Wansfell 2012

One of the most popular festive fell races at Wansfell was won by Helm Hill man Tom Addison, sprinting in for a narrow win over cousin Mark. Conditions were kind as the large field set out on this 2.1m ‘sprint’ in Ambleside…

True to form the Helm Hill boys were at the fore early on, with Tom just showing enough speed on the run-in to hold off Mark by around 5 seconds. Sam ‘Watdog’ Watson was third.

In the women’s race there was a good win for Sarah McCormack, with Jane Reedy running into second and Lucy Harris third.
