Fellrunner gets the digital touch
FRA chairman Graham Breeze via the FRA site writes that the FRA Committee has agreed in principle to make all past copies (over 100) of The Fellrunner available via the FRA website, subject to the resolution of any technical issues.
The Fellrunner mag is one of the best reads out there. The magazine isnt packed with adverts, it doesnt seem to bow down to any particular brand. It is there for, and answerable to its FRA readership. It serves them pretty damn well I would say and does a great service to the sport, through honest, captivating and credible writing and a super results and race reports service.
The copies will be digitised as produced at the time eg some issues were printed in A5 format or on foolscap paper. Once the past issues have be made ready for the website the resolution of photographs will be such as to make downloading impractical for commercial use.
On this the site also states:
The copyright of all photographs, articles and other material will remain with the original provider/author and the FRA will protect the copyright interests of its contributors including by recourse to the law if any material previously published in The Fellrunner is reproduced in any other format, including on websites, without the express permission of the copyright holder or the General Secretary of the FRA.
