Lloyd Taggart - 2011 English Fell Champ

Yes, it’s March, and that time of year when things get serious as far as fell championships go. This Saturday sees the opening salvo of the FRA English Fell Running Championships at the Lad’s Leap race over in Derbyshire…

A rather excellent preview has been posted over at Fell Running Briefs, outlining the movers and shakers in the men’s and women’s races.

In the men’s event we would also like to throw Simon Bailey into the mix. The Mercia man has been running very strongly in the early part of 2012, most recently last weekend at the Wolf’s Pit race.

Jackie Lee has been performing well over on the Isle of Man too, and though she might not have the measure of Lauren Jeska and Emma Clayton this weekend, she could go well.

FRB will be tweeting away from the race, so we shouldn’t miss a trick!
