Dean wins in Hulshout

Round 6 of the 8-round Lotto Cross Cup saw success for many GB and England athletes on Sunday, as the winter-long XC series hit Hulshout in the Antwerp region of Belgium….

Hatti Dean was the stand-out British performer with a convincing win in the senior women’s race, ahead of team-mate Hannah Doran, with Lauren Deadman in fourth in racing conditions that were described by many on their Twitter feeds as ‘freezing’ and being a ‘very hard course underfoot’.

In the men’s race Jonathan Taylor secured third in a good quality field, with Stockport’s Patrick Martin in 5th.
