Not too many surprises in the UKA selections for the forthcoming European Mountain Running Championships in Turkey on July 9th. The team is headed-up by trial category winners Steve Vernon, Victoria Wilkinson, Garry Rankin and Scout Adkin…
All of those selected were chosen on merit after their excellent performances at Keswick a couple of weeks ago. GB team leader Sarah Rowell commented:
“This year’s senior trials saw great strength in depth, and as a result we’ve got two teams who will hopefully be challenging for team medals. The junior teams include athletes who are making their debut and who may have one or two more years in the age group, so in addition to more experienced athletes, we’ll be taking athletes who are at the start of what we hope will be long international careers.”
