Europe and the US name Edinburgh captains
Dathan Ritzenhein
This race is ramping-up to be really interesting. International team racing will spice up the BUPA Great Edinburgh XC event, which the organisers obviously saw as a requirement to keep things exciting and a spectacle for the public, and TV…
Equally, this may well engage the domestic and European athletes in some quality racing that sees them at the head of affairs, as opposed to watching the east Africans dancing off into the distance.
The US and Europe have named their captains, with Europe boasting newly-crowned, 9-times Euro cross champion Sergey Lebid.
Lebid to lead European select squad at Edinburgh XC
Evergreen Sergey Lebid will captain the Europe Select Team in the Men’s International Team Challenge at the Bupa Great Edinburgh Cross Country on 8 January, the fourth meeting of the IAAF Cross Country Permit series 2010/11.
