It’s Kentmere’s turn to put on the trail running jazz this weekend for the PUMA Kentmere Trail Race & Challenge 17km. This race is full and closed for entries, but the weather’s set fair for Saturday and will make for a festival atmosphere…

Starting in Staveley village, the course along well marked and marshalled footpaths and bridleways takes in panoramic views of most of the southern Lakeland fells. The trail climbs out from Staveley above the Kentmere valley, before returning along the valley itself past idyllic tarns and through ancient woodland, climbing Reston Scar before the descent back into Staveley village.
