With 4 races in Scotland and 8 in England and the IOM it’s a busy old weekend, though no races in Wales, NI or Ireland. Still the classic Manx Mountain Marathon goes ahead on the Isle of Man, and the short, sharp Rivington Pike race takes place in Horwich…

This weekend’s ‘long one’ takes place on Exmouth. The Exe to Axe is a 20 mile brute, running point to point from Exmouth to Seaton.

In Scotland 4 relatively short affairs take place with the Knockfarrel, Normans Law, Grandtully and Emily Hill races, more details below.

The fella in the blue shirt (67) in the top photo is Peter Bradley. A Manx fell runner. The race is the Anniversary Waltz.
