Keith Anderson, right

After my posting of the image below on the Langdale preview piece yesterday, reader Guy Russell emailed to with a tale or two on the great man, one particular story was one I thought worth sharing with all of those who remember the Ambleside legend…

I noticed the photo of Keith Anderson who use to be my regular training partner at Ambleside AC.
I use to train every day some times twice a day with him, some great sessions and some mad ones.
He once tied a rope round my middle and sprinted off down hill trying to teach me how to run fast down hill.

Another time he said follow me as we sprinted down a steep fell side only for him to leap over a cliff, roll over and laugh at me…. I PHYSICALLY COULDN’T TAKE THAT LEAP. That’s why he was one of the greatest descenders.
