Mudge and Hawker shine at 'IAU Trail'
Angela Mudge
Angela Mudge and Lizzie Hawker showed why they are amongst the world’s best mountain and ultra runners by taking 2nd and 3rd respectively at this Sunday’s IAU World Trail championships held at Serre Chevalier. The men’s title was convincingly won by France’s Thomas Lorblanchet.
Best placed British man was Andy Rankin, placing an excellent 7th with second GB runner Allen Smalls in 17th.
Lorblanchet and Italy’s Cecilia Mora won the men’s and women’s crowns in convincing style – with Mora’s time good enough to place her inside the top ten overall.
