Tickner - strong

26 year-old Wells City Harrier and GB international Frank Tickner added a second National Cross Country title to his growing list of wins at a sunny Parliament Hill on Saturday. The unseasonably mild weather meant that the racing was fast and furious across the board.

Tickner won by a comfortable margin from Steve Vernon, with Andy Vernon third and Belgrave harrier Phil Wicks coming home fourth.

With a the men’s top 5 results being uncannily close to our predictions (!) the form book wasn’t ripped up in any particular race with the senior and junior titles going to Tickner and Nick Goolab in the men’s category and Hatti Dean and Steph Twell in the women’s.

More views and reports to follow over the coming week…
