This weekend...
With a fair amount of the North, East and South Wales and the west Midlands under a covering of snow still (certainly on the higher ground) any racing that goes ahead this Easter will be tricky…
Midgeley Moor is cancelled this Sunday, but there are a few which will survive we suspect.
One is the Fron Four in Wales, which we are reliably informed goes ahead. In Scotland there is the Easter festival of hill racing at River Tay Dash (29 Mar), Birnam Hill Classic (30 Mar), Emily Hill (30 Mar), Normans Law (30 Mar), Deuchary Hill Canter (31 Mar) and Grandtully (31 Mar) – with details via the SHR site here.
In England there are the Causey Pike and classic Rivington Pike races on Saturday, with the Peat Pits Wood 2 on Sunday. Full details via the FRA here.
Enjoy, whatever you are up to, take the right kit and stay safe!
