OMM Camp
The last weekend in September sees the opportunity a final tweak for those experienced mountain marathoners who may be taking on the might of the OMM up in the Howgills this autumn, or for first-timers who may want to add some skills that they never had!
The National Mountain Centre at Plas-y-Brenin plays host to an OMM / Polaris Challenge Training Camp.
The webpage states:
This September we’re running the third OMM Training Camp and it’s set to be bigger, better and more popular than last year’s hugely successful event. What’s more, this year the event will be a combined OMM/ Polaris training camp allowing runners and riders to share ideas and tips on conditioning, navigation, nutrition, equipment and much, much more.
The OMM/Polaris Training Camp is an information-rich training camp open to everyone from mountain-marathon-or Polaris newcomers who’d simply like to find out how, right up to experienced campaigners, looking to fine tune their skills.
£160 gets you two night’s comfortable accommodation, food and information-packed workshops and evening speakers, also fulfilling the ‘experience’ requirement that an OMM entrant needs.
