Top mountain men Tom Owens and Andy Symonds, along with top German mag Trail.de and top German photoman Stephan Gripmaster Repke, will be putting on a top Trail Mountain Running Camp this summer – what a combination!

The idea is that you travel to the German Alps for some great running and top tips from these trail and mountain legends, all in beautiful surroundings with great food, massage and a relaxing 4-star hotel environment. Andy explains:

We anticipate that with the camp being in Germany it will mainly attract German runners, however we’re keen to spread the word internationally. We are aiming to sign up participants from a number of different countries and the camp should appeal to the Brits too as we’ll be running the camp in English.

Full Trail Camp release

Tom Owens and Andy Symonds became celebrities in Germany following their two spectacular wins of the Transalpine Run in 2009 and 2010. Back home in the UK, they have been icons of the fell running scene for a long time.

They have countless wins and podiums in international mountain running races and Sky Races on their résumés. When the trail is steep and technical, they are two of the best and fastest runners to be found…

This summer Tom and Andy are coming to Germany to share their enthusiasm for the sport and their wealth of experience with the participants of our brand new Mountain Running Camp. Running technique in technical terrain, training for effective and safe uphill and downhill running, recovery during stage races, nutrition, gear…

Andy and Tom summit with Drei Zinnen behind

We have prepared an extensive program, allowing participants a rare opportunity to tap into a vast resource of knowledge and experience, and hence benefit from during their own running seasons!

Stephan Repke, our TRAIL Magazin reporter and photographer lives right here in the Bavarian Alps and has chosen the most fantastic mountain trails for you. A talented runner himself, he will be supporting the guided group runs , shooting photos and keeping you entertained!

We will be staying in a luxury 4 star hotel right at the bottom of the spectacular Hochstaufen (1771m), with only a few meters separating the hotel doorstep from the area’s extensive selection of trails. Of course, excellent meals as well as massages and wellness will be available throughout.

Important: The camp will be run essentially in English language. Although we note that translation to German (Gripmaster) and French (Andy) will be available if and when required.
