WMRA promises more support
At the recent AGM of the World Mountain Running Association in Monaco, there was a pledge for greater financial support for the sport of mountain running and an alignment with the ‘infrastructure‘ of the IAAF.
Outside of an increase in the WMRA Grand Prix prize fund for 2012 (doubled to $20,000), there was also discussion regarding future World Mountain Running Championships, including a visit to Poland in 2013, Africa (Nigeria) in 2014 and a possible visit to Wales in 2015.
