Adams outguns Jebby at Stanbury Splash
Woodentops first event of 2012 proved to be another cracker as some of England’s top male and female fell talent hit the hills near Keighley for 12km of fast and furious racing.
An impressive 369 runners finished in the trying Yorkshire conditions, but it was Ilkley’s Tom Adams (no stranger to this route) who took the win (45.45), beating Bingley’s Rob Jebb by a slender 10 seconds. Graham Pearce (46.13) took a solid third
Calder’s Jo Buckley (55.36) won the women’s race, comfortably ahead of Bingley’s Sharon Taylor (57.11), with Lynne Clough (58.37) making up the podium.
