Twell looks to set record straight
Twell - back in Edinburgh
After a highly disappointing run at the SPAR Euro XC in December, UK endurance hope Steph Twell will look to make amends and put 2009 behind her as she takes on the likes of Euro champ Hayley Yelling and Olympic champ Tirunesh Dibaba at this weekends BUPA Great Edinburgh International cross country…
The young Aldershot athlete, also recently becoming a ‘Scot’, will look to impress on home soil, however there is no doubt that she will have her work cut out against the likes of Dibaba and Yelling.
Paul Bush OBE, Chief Operating Officer at EventScotland, the national events agency, said: “The line up for this year’s Great Edinburgh International Cross Country just gets better and better. The event really does attract the world’s best and this is testament to Scotland’s reputation as a host for world class athletics events and to the unique proposition that Edinburgh as a location makes for the sport. We look forward to seeing Stephanie Twell compete.
The afternoons proceedings will be televised on the BBC.
