Jim Davies + Goldfish
Answers on a postcard as to why Borrowdale’s Jim Davies was seen carrying a GOLDFISH during last Saturday’s Langdale Horseshoe race. I suppose that combination of hydration, protein and fish oils is as good as many gels and sports drinks can offer these days!?

let me explain…..
the fish needed to move house, for his old fishtank was in need of renovation..
as goldfish have a limited lifespan in plastic bags, their usual means of transportation, it seemed logical, if not essential, to hire a particularly fast mover for the job. hence the choice of a fellrunner, who, needless to say, will always know and take the fastest route from one place to another…..
