The men's 1-2-3, (Wyatt, Gates and Krupicka)

After 3 of the 7 WMRA Grand Prix races Jonathan Wyatt is looking ominously good once again, after a convincing win at the Harakiri Berglauf race in Austria. However, the battle with Robert Krupicka will be very interesting to watch, as the season unfolds…

The 2008 champion won by over a minute from Krupicka, reversing the finishing order at the second round Grintovec race. American Ricky Gates ran strongly for third.

Jono recovers - imagine how the rest felt!

Andrea Mayr took a convincing win in the women’s race from Grintovec winner Anna Pichrtova. With 2008 GP champ Anna Frost looking unlikely to contest many of the 2009 races the women’s championship looks to be a two-horse race between these two and it will be fascinating to watch the season unfold in this – and the men’s – championship.
