The excellent highlights programme from this year’s race is now available on demand via the S4C Clic source. There are plenty of images out there now too. The best, as ever, come from Dave Pinnington, Gwynfor James and Al Tye over at fell running pictures

Women’s winner Katie Ingram spoke of “feeling strong” on the ascent as she took one of the biggest win’s of her career.

Andi Jones also gave MST this reaction on his performance:

“The race went very well. My plan was always to go out hard as I have in previous years. I was keen to build up as much advantage as possible on the climb in order to allow me to run the downhill more relaxed than in previous years and therefore not damaging the legs too much. I realised I was well clear at the top so was able to run a little easier downhill.

The amount of support on the route was excellent again. The top of the mountain was very congested in places and low visibility made for some interesting running at times! To win four times on the trot is just amazing. It’s something no one else has ever done.”

About MST

Mud, Sweat and Tears was dreamt up some time ago. I had returned to the sport of running (competitively) after around a 15 year layoff due to injury.
