In an article in the East African newspaper the Daily Nation 5-time World XC champ Paul Tergat and Athletics Kenya secretary David Okeyo are more than displeased that the lack of home quality at the Kenyan AK series races so far.
The renowned duo state that after such a poor showing in the 2008 World XC Championships in Edinburgh the top Kenyan athletes need to step up and show their faces at the home series, not only in support of the events but also to help condition themselves for the championships to be held in Jordan in March, no doubt in the hope that their east African rivals Ethiopia don’t disappear into the dust with the titles once again…
