Jez's big adventure - Pt.2
Jez Bragg
Part 2 of the video doc from Jez Bragg’s epic Te Araroa trail run is now online. The latest film sees the ultra runner’s highs (reaching Bluff and cross the Cook Strait) and the lows (a three-day stomach bug)…
After 53 days 9 hours and 3,054 km of running Jez crossed the finish line of Te Araroa trail arriving in Bluff – ‘lands end’ on the southern tip of New Zealand’s South Island.
I’m just so proud of that because, it was bold, and I did pull it off. And that’s cool. Each day of running on this epic trail has presented significant challenges. The terrain has been far rougher than anything I’ve experienced elsewhere in the world, so patience, determination and core strength have been key. I also suffered with the dreaded Giardia bug midway through the South Island.
