The National 'charge'

In England and Scotland that is. This weekend will see a sea of XC runners from across the age groups tackle parkland courses in Sunderland and Falkirk.

Keith Gerrard leads the way at the National 2012

In their preview AW state:

This Saturday sees the 126th senior men’s race – a statistic that illustrates the event’s tremendous history, as English Cross Country Association secretary Ian Byett agrees: “The National is truly one of the greatest mass participation national championships in the world,” he said.

Up in Calendar Park in Falkirk, Scotland’s finest will be out in force, and it will be great to see British Fell Champ and GB internationals Murray Strain and Robbie Simpson showing the way for the UK’s fell and hill runners!
