Anton Krupicka on Longs Peak
Great to see Anton Krupicka running strongly and in the environment he loves – mountains and high altitude. His sojourn last week to the New Balance base gave him the opportunity to visit Longs Peak in the Colorado Rockies…
Writing for Running Times he saw the chance to ascend the “iconic northern Front Range 14er” which reaches up to a massive 14,259ft, after meetings with the brand’s designers he then took the time to write a great blog outlining the experience.
He continues:
Longs is the most imposing summit of the northern Front Range skyline, and its craggy upper ramparts–particularly its east face, The Diamond–offers one of the only venues for truly world-class alpinism in the Colorado Rockies.
Before Friday I’d never been to the top of Longs Peak–only making it to 12,000′ Granite Pass during a trans-Park run a couple summers ago–but the lore surrounding the mountain is extensive and I was excited to experience its upper reaches.
