Mr. Gafr Mynydd at Moel y Ci

Records tumbled on the hills and mountains of England, Wales and Scotland today. Amongst the winners were Prasad Prasad, Angela Mudge, Simon Bailey, Carl Bell and Richard Roberts, in unseasonably warm weather and great racing conditions…

Conic Hill
Clear wins for Prasad and Angela at the beautifully scenic Conic Hill race, with both records going. Prasad took almost 2 mins from Peter Davenport’s 2011 record, with Mudge taking close to 4 mins from the women’s record, over this 5k race.

Moel y Ci
Welsh international Rich Roberts triumphed in a new course record ahead of fellow Eryri runner Math Roberts. Shrewsbury’s Anna Bartlett won the women’s race. Results to come, but some great images via FRP’s Al Tye here and Es Richards on Clic Clic here.

High Cup Nick
In between winning the British Fell Championship and being a rather good fell runner Morgan Donnelly organises the rather excellent High Cup Nick race up in Dufton. Today’s winners were the Carl Bell and Helen Elmore, with Bell taking Darren Kay’s record by over 30 seconds.

Bleasdale Circle
Former British Fell Champ Simon Bailey easily won the Bleasdale Circle fell race over in Bowland in a very swift 35.25 – which appears to be just a couple of seconds shy of Lloyd Taggart’s record. Bowland’s Sarah Sarginson won the women’s race.

Results are now online here with image by Ian Charters here.
