New Year racing...
Andres Jones
The first day of 2012 saw the hardcore out on the fells and hills. Perfect starts to this year’s campaigns went to Andres Jones, Ali Lavender, Murray Strain, Quentin Lewis, Annabel Mason, Jim Bulman amongst others…
Andres Jones took a great win ahead of a strong field at the Morning After, results via Mercia Fell Runners and images courtesy of Al Tye at FRP. Ali Lavender was 10th overall and easily first lady.
Murray Strain took the Greenmantle Dash, with Brian Marshall in second.
Quentin Lewis and Annabel Mason won at the Giant’s Tooth. Mason is still only 14 years old and reports from BOFRA races this year suggest that she is a hill star in the making…
We’re not sure of the results but the weather was pretty heavy at the annual Llyn Llydaw race from Pen Y Pass in north Wales. Luckily Gwynfor James was there getting a right old soaking!

…and over on the Isle of Man Lloyd Taggart and Kate Burge were winners at the annual St. Johns fell race
