Breaking: Donnelly and Maddams win at Yr Aran
Morgan Donnelly
Round two of the 2011 British Fell Champs saw perfect fell running conditions at Yr Aran in north Wales. The beautiful weather wasn’t predicted, and neither was the winner of the men’s race, as Morgan Donnelly returned from injury for an emphatic win…
The Borrowdale man also broke Tim Davies’ 2009 course record, and the Mercia man had to also settle for second behind Donnelly. Rob Jebb was a close third.
Pippa Maddams made the long trek from the Lakes worthwhile as she easily won the women’s race, and now looks very good to retain her British crowns of 2009 and 2010. Jo Buckley was second, with Mercia’s Mel Price having a stormer in third.
We were there so you can expect a full report, interview with Morgan, images and full results soon on MST.

No need to publish the comment – but please learn how to use an apostrophe – it’s crowns not crown’s. Maybe I’m being harsh as all your other usage of apostrophes is correct.

Thanks for that Gordon, corrected now. I’m not a professional writer, just an enthusiastic blogger and do my best!
