Men’s race – Merga gets a rare taste of victory

Imana Merga doesn’t win too many races, in fact he only won two of his 10 outings on the track in 2010 and a handful of road races but he chose the right moment to grab his first victory of this year. Vivian Cheruiyot

Women’s race – Cheruiyot wins race of champions

n the end, it was a battle between two World champions for a World Championship neither had won. Vivian Cheruiyot is reigning World champion at 5000 metres. She won the World Junior Cross Country title in 2000, but had not placed higher than eighth in a World Cross Country Championships.

Amazing finish of Merga !! A new Bekele is born ?

I personally admired the strong 3rd position of Shalane Flanagan in the women’s field, rather impressive !
