The recent early snow in the UK means that many a runner will be taking a risk or two as they attempt to keep the miles high in this unseasonal cold snap. Funnily enough there aren’t too many go-to sites to help you through…

Luckily the likes of Icebug and Inov8 are thinking of us with some excellent snow specific shoes, with spikes, and Yaktrax XTR ‘snow chains’ might also be worth a look.

    Here in South-west Ontario to run in the ice and snow I screw 3/8 sheetmetal screws into the lugs on the bottom of my running shoes.
