Cale wrecks 'em at Wrekin

Steven Cale, in top form at the moment

After a great recent run of form Shrewsbury’s Steven Cale took a convincing win at yesterday’s Wrekin Wrecker. Eryri Harrier Rich Roberts was the only man able to stay within spitting distance of Cale, but his win on Saturday was probably still in his legs…

That takes nothing away from Cale’s effort on this classic Shropshire hill, as he was a full two minutes clear Roberts by the end of the 8 mile event. The women’s race was a close affair with Anna Bartlett coming in 30 seconds clear of Stafford’s Kate Burge.
