Raiders rock Trans Rockies
With two stages gone the French / Canadian contingent of elite runners present at this year’s Trans Rockies Run are holding sway at the top of the leader board. It’s early days, but the women’s pairing Fournier and de Guire are sitting pretty out in the lead…
The mixed pairing of top US ultra-girl Caitlin Smith and French mountain goat Martin Gaffuri also lead, with US men’s duo Max King and Andy Martin leading the men’s class and the race overall.
With today’s stage 3 about to start there is plenty more racing left in this one, as the competitors endure the heat of the Rockies on their journey to Beaver Creek for the finish, after 6 stages that take in altitudes of nearly 13,000ft.
