It's Gray and Jeska at Holme Moss
Lloyd Taggart leads em at Holme Moss
The penultimate round of this years English Fell Champs hit Holme Moss on Sunday. Karl Gray is not a new face to fell running, however this was his first championship race win in 2010 and such was the Calder Valley runner’s form he also took the course record…
Lauren Jeska won the women’s race and looks to be in a commanding position with just one race to go, that of Shelf Moor in September.
Great report, along with results, from Holmfirth Harriers here
Lloyd Taggart from Dark Peak, followed by Danny Hope of Pudsey and Bramley, set the early pace arriving first and second at the first Holme Moss check point. Pete Vale of Mercia was third at that point but then overhauled the pair to arrive in pole position at Laddow Rocks – a position he held onto through Black Hill and back again to Holme Moss. The eventual winner, Karl Gray of Calder Valley, had however been slowly but steadily overhauling the leading runners and eventually took the lead to win in a new course record time of 2.24.18.
