African charge is on...
Isaak Kosgei
The Grossglockner Berglauf is one of the great European mountain races of the summer, and yesterday’s race only added to that status. The men’s field was deep with talent – much of it African – showing that the East Africans have now got a taste for the mountains!
It was a super-close race in the men’s event, with just 30 seconds separating the first three runners. Isaak Kosgei took the spoils from fellow Kenyan Geoffrey Ndungu, multiple World mountain running champion Jonathan Wyatt was third.

Anna Frost is in fine form at the moment, and after her fourth place in the Vertical Kilometer race on Friday she got back to winning ways on her kind of course – all boding well for her assault on Pikes Peak next month and the World MR champs in September. The Kiwi easily beat a high quality field that included Anna Pichrtova.
