9th European Mountain Running Championships
Take place this weekend in Bulgaria. A strong team for the UK will travel following the trials races a few weeks back, and with 26 nations represented it should be quite an event…
The up-and-down course looks pretty straight forward, though we’re thinking that this course profile is a simplified version of what will be a testing course, with 3 × 4km laps for the senior men making up the 12km race.
British athletes looking to make their mark will be regular GB international Vicky Wilkinson in the women’s event and young Scots Robbie Simpson and Catriona Buchanan in the junior races.
