It's Davies and Maddams at Sedbergh

1000m winner Tim Davies

Welshman Tim Davies is having a great year in 2010. The mid-Wales man was a recent winner at the Welsh 1000m and was too strong for the opposition at yesterday’s British championship round 2 race at Sedbergh, winning from Rob Hope and Andrew Davies…

2009 ladies champ Pippa Maddams seems to have carried on where she left off last year by making it 2 out of 2 after her win at Silent Valley. The Keswick runner took the win from Clare Whitehead and Olivia Walwyn.

Provisional top 3’s

Mens
Tim Davies 1st
Rob Hope 2nd
Andrew Davies 3rd

Ladies
Pippa Maddams 1st
Clare Whitehead 2nd
Olivia Walwyn 3rd

The results should mean that the championship leaders going into round three are Maddams for the women and the super-consistent Rob Hope for the men, who was third at Silent Valley.

No results or images available as yet, but you can follow the reaction on the wonderful FRA forum...
