Kilian picks-up on stage 5

After encountering some difficult terrain in the first part of his run across the Pyrenees, Kilian Jornet is by all accounts making good progress as he heads east across the great range. The earlier part of the week saw the little Catalan hit some really rough terrain…

Rough enough to need crampons and an ice axe to negotiate. Also, his experience in such feats has left him with a wiseness beyond his years, and he knows instinctively when to exercise restraint and when to speed up.

Thanks to Ed from Trail Running Soul and Stephen Gripmaster Repke for some great images throughout the week, you can keep following Kilian at the Salomon Running Facebook page.
