Welsh 1000m is this Saturday...
Perhaps the classic of all Welsh classics takes place on Saturday – the Welsh 1000m, and this one is a beast. The role-call of winners includes fell-legends such as Kenny Stuart, Gavin Bland and Angela Mudge, amongst others.
After the biblical conditions of 2009 the weather looks to be the complete opposite for the 22 mile race that takes in the summits of Carnedd Llewelyn, Carnedd Dafydd and Garnedd Ugain before finishing on the summit of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), within sunshine and very warm temperatures being forecast.

Mud, Sweat and Tears was dreamt up some time ago. I had returned to the sport of running (competitively) after around a 15 year layoff due to injury.
